Writer's Block: Taxmen and Poetry

It's Tax Day in the U.S., a day when the mind might be too occupied with deductions and long lines at the post office to think about poetry. But let's try: what's your favorite line of poetry? Song lyrics count.

This above all: to thine ownself be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.

учила 5 лет назад, все еще помню и иногда рассказываю на сейшнах, например во время какой-нибудь заминки, или когда группа готовится.

THE FLY

Little Fly
Thy summers play,
My thoughtless hand
Has brush'd away.

Am not I
A fly like thee?
Or art not thou
A man like me?

For I dance
And drink & sing:
Till some blind hand
Shall brush my wing.

If thought is life
And strength & breath:
And the want
Of thought is death;

Then am I
A happy fly,
If I live,
Or if I die.
